Hi friends,

I am back after a long vacation. I really enjoyed the life in Kerala. No work pressure, no household works!!!!!!. Only eating, sleeping and playing with our Joel – our seven month old nephew. He is so lovely and cute. I miss him a lot. Actually I wanted to bring him here. But he’s flying to Landon to live with his parents very soon. I learned bit 4 wheeler driving also. My sweet brother Tom taught me that. But I still I have confusion between break and accelerator. I did many cooking experiments. Most of them were successful. This was the first time me and my better half lived separately after marriage. That feeling was horrible but still helped us to find how much we missed each other. October 2nd was my Mom’s happy birthday. My hubby also reached Kerala on the same day. So went to meet her with a cake with “Happy Birthday Mummy” and a saree. It was a surprise visit and she was so happy. My friends, if you can remember your parents birthday and wish them, it is a precious gift you can give them. We all remember best friend’s , boy/girl friend’s and partner’s ( i hope so) birth days. So find time and memory to wish your parents on their special day. One sad thing happened was my brother’s friend “JIthin” died in a bike accident. We are like family friends. He was supposed to go to Australia very soon. Praying for the happiness of his soul.

Overall I had a great time and put on weight. Today came back to work. Now @ office my seat has changed – my designation also. Now I am in the corner of a big hall and got a cubicle with a sticker – Jinu Sunil Manalody – Team Leader.

Hope I can enjoy and give better performance as a team leader. Wait and See

I reached Kerala safely. My train was supposed to reach Kottayam @3.15 am. By 2.30 I wake up. I saw some people waiting at the door to get down. Then one TTR went that way. I asked him “Sir, which is the coming station?”. He told “Ernakulam Town”. “Then next is my Kottayam station” I said myself. I went near the door and confirmed it. Immediately I called up my brother in -law (Tom) and told I have reached Ernakulam. As I was travelling alone, my father -in law and Tom rushed to the station by 3.10 am. I was waiting for a long time to see Ernakulam station. 1 hr went like that. Then again I started to sleep. Around 4.45 my train reached Kottayam. The man on the next berth wake me up. I was so sorry to disturb many people’s sleep. Now I am @ my in-laws place. As I haven’t stayed there long after marriage, most of the people don’t know me. Few of them asked me at which class I am studying. What a humiliation!!!. Tom is telling that most probably it will be spread in the village that his brother has kidnaped a +2 girl. Ha ha. Waiting for more fun..

teachers day

I was so lucky to get so many sweet teachers in my life. I won’t forget my nursery teacher Raychel. Still now I and she remember the effort she took to teach me the first letter in Malayalam. At the age of 3 I started to go to the kinder garten with my sister. There my teacher mrs.Raychel taught me how to write the first letter in Malayalam. The second day when she wrote it again in my slate, there was some slight bending. I started to make proble. I showed her how to write it correctly. What a great student!!!

In first standard, my class teacher was a nun named Assisi. She loved me a lot and used to get gua and chocolates from the convent for us. She is my ever time favorite teacher. I am so sorry that I couldn’t meet her when she was in dieing bed. I came to know that when somebody went to meet her in the hospital, she expressed her wish to see me. I was in Bangalore that time. In second standard I had a teacher called Sheela. She came to teach one year in our school. I remember the day when the photographers came to take pictures of each class wise photos; she glued her bindi on my forehead. How sweet na? I am remembering many other sweet teachers like Mary, Annie, Komalavally, Syamala, Aisha, Rugmini, Mariyamma, Valsala and all. I won’t forget our principal in H.S when we were in the 10th class. She is Mrs Syamala. She did some special pooja before our annual exam and gave all of us that prasad. In my PUC time most of the teachers were not friendly with people. But 2 teachers Maya and Sree were very good. In my diploma time also I got many good teachers. Valsamma, Shajimol, Chandrika are some of them. Many guest lecturers also were there. I got some good friends from them. One of my favorite friends Ajith is one of them.

Indlaw communications was my first office. But I got my first salary somewhere else !. After I reached New Delhi, first few months I was searching for a job. I was new to the city and language. So I used to go with my sister to her office. There my job was just chat with her boss and surf the internet. He, A.K Gupta, is such a sweet person and still now I have contact with him.

He used to take me out when he is going to meet his clients and tell them that I am his daughter. I am so thankful to him for the efforts that he took to open my bank account and took care of me when I was ill. After I got job in indlaw also, he used to come and take me to the hospital; whenever I fell sick. OOOOOooooh. What I was saying was about my fist salary. In his office there was only image editing and flash development only. As I was completed my computer engineering diploma, I was trying for a job in software development only. And i didn’t know any flash designing and all. Now also. After a couple of weeks, he got some power point related work. So he gave me some part of the work. I worked on it for 3-4 days. That client was also a good guy. He made the payment on completion of the work. (Most of his Indian clients were not paying him on time. And our Gupta sir was such a poor guy that he doesn’t know to fight with them). Gupta sir gave me 2500 rupees. It was in 2002. For my 4 days work I got salary. I never expected it. I was utilizing his computer and internet to search for jobs and entertaining. I just helped him in return of that. I cried with joy. I can’t tell you how happy I was that time. He used to give permission to my sister to come with me for interviews and late in office. Mine and his account was there in the same bank (SBH). I didn’t have an ATM card that time and I was getting a cheque. After my each salary date, he used to come and deposit my cheque and withdraw money for me. It is very difficult to find such sweet people in this world.

It’s rarely raining in Chennai. But yesterday it was horrible. I started late from office and reached my husband’s place by 7.00 pm. As soon as we started drizzling. Within seconds it was going to rain heavily. So my sweet husband forced me to get down from the motorbike and get into a bus to our place. First I din’t mind. Actually I like to get wet in rain. In childhood days, my mom’s main work was to find where I am in the raining time. I used to run in rains or stand below the tiles or pipes to get wet. But I am not enough healthy to repeat those things. When my husband reminded me about my health condition, with half mind I got down. After got into the bus only I remembered that I had only 10 rupees 25 paisa. At office I have given 50 rupees for buying juice and forgot to collect the balance. My bus-fare was rs.4. The rain became very strong and I was afraid that whether my husband reached home or not. When I tried to call him, his mobile was switched. I really got tensed. Another problem is I had only 6.25 rupees only. From the bus stop I have to pick an auto to reach home. These auto people are the highly demanding creatures in Chennai. For a 1km travel also they will ask minimum 50 rupees. Normally in shared autos I am paying 5 rs till our place. But due to rain people started to ask for 10 rupees. I gave 6 rupees to the auto uncle. He just turned and asked who gave this. Luckily he didn’t demand more. I was thinking what to do if he is asking for more money. They can’t wait till I go and get money from home. I had 2 debit cards also with me. But what is the use? Sometimes nothing can replace by money. By the time I reached home I had only 25 paisa with me. When I was in the auto, my husband called me up. By god’s grace he reached home safely and he has switched off his phone because he didn’t want to get the mobile wet. So happy ending.

Because of rain, yesterday we made hot soup, dosa and omelet. It is said that for 2 more days the weather will be like this only. So I will leave early today.

My rain song

Rain rain go away
Come back on a holiday
Thunder is a wonder
But I don’t like that hunter

How’s it?

Today I am going to write my experience with my new boss. He’s Vijay Chakravarthy, an energetic young man who considers his office as his life and partner. He’s very much fond of dancing and a professional western dancer. Before coming to the interview, I checked the company website and saw his dance performance photo in CEO profile. I stunned by seeing that. As I was an experienced candidate, my interview was directly with him. Search engine genie was urgency with a Pay per Click manager and immediately I got appointed. He gave me a nice designation “Search Engine Expert”. That was my first interview @ Chennai and he ensured me that I will get good exposure over here. It’s really true. Till that time I was just doing the work which was assigned to me. My imaginations and creativity were narrowed inside my office walls. I never thought out of the box. He gave me nice opportunities to study and think. I have never been to the blogging area before. He forced me to start writing in PPC blog and now I am very much comfortable in blogging. He’s always supporting and appreciating me for even small achievements.

He’s a good friend of mine and finds some time to chat with me everyday. He’s very strict at office hours and going wild if he sees something wrong. He is a good player. I love to watch his expressions on game Saturdays. If some other team plays well, his face becomes a balloon. During games, he keeps on quarrelling with our HR or technical head. No-one else has the guts to fight with him. If his team members won’t play well, somehow he arranges a place within the first 4 places. He’s very particular about beauty of his body and very strict in his in-takes. He only explained me about all the advanced techniques in SEO. It is nice to discuss him with the do’s and don’t of Search Engine Optimization. He’s a really hardworking man and a self starter. When he started this company, he had only one capital – self confidence. His confidence and handwork made “search engine genie” and “Vijay” a top brand among our clients and SEO industry.

Here I have many more things to learn. I am getting good exposure. I am giving more importance to that only. Money will come and go. But knowledge?
