- Sleep only when you feel sleepy.
- If you are unable to feel asleep within 20 minutes, then get up and do something tiresome until you feel sleepy.
- Avoid having a heavy sleep during day time.
- Get up and go to bed the same time every day, i.e. that is fix up a schedule and get on to it.
- Regular exercise is recommended to help you sleep well.
- Exercising during morning hours or early afternoon will not come in contact with sleep.
- Avoid doing exercise at least 4 hours before your bedtime.
- Develop sleep rituals by hearing a relaxing music, reading something soothing for 15 minutes, having a cup of caffeine free tea, doing some relaxation exercises.
- Try to have a light snack before bed, sometimes empty stomach may interfere with sleep but remember not to eat heavy meals before bedtime that can also interfere as well.
- Hot bath before bedtime may also helps you to get a good sleep.
- Check out for the comfortable bed and bedroom with a cool temperature to stay warm.
- If light in the early morning troubles you, get a blackout shade or wear a sleep mask.
- Once you get up in the morning, turn your face to the sun for 15 minutes to get a refreshing feel all through the day.
