The Commonwealth Games is an international, multi-sport event which will be held once in four years and features competitions involving thousands of privileged athletes from members of the Commonwealth of Nations.
The 2010 Commonwealth Games is the 19th Commonwealth Games and the ninth to be held under this name. The Games are being held in Delhi – India, as we all know Delhi is one of the lovable and beautiful places because of the lotus temple, Taj mahal, India gate, amazing forests and so on.

CWG is scheduled from October 3rd to 14th October 2010. The opening ceremony of CWG took place on 3rd of October 2010 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the main stadium of the event. This marks the first time the Commonwealth Games have been held in India and the second time the event has been held in Asia .

The preparations for the Common Wealth Games (CWG) games received criticism in news media due to issues like heavy rains, floods, infrastructural compromise, broken or missing installations in the athletes’ village, preparation delays etc… These issues grew into a big fire which leads to the withdrawal of prominent athletes and adduction of widespread corruption. The only thing is that no nations withdrew and the games started on time. A widely-praised opening ceremony helped improve the name of the games.��

India begins day 7 in CWG with its 20th gold. As of now Australia is there in the leading position with 48 gold in their hand, , England is there in the second place with 20 gold, we are in the third place with the same 20 gold which is being followed by Canada. We Indians are now mainly depending on our shooters once again, who provided 50 per cent of their gold medals in the first four days, to help India stay ahead of England and Canada.
