Photoshop guide for trapping dragon inside a cube

Tuesday Jun 15, 2010

Create a new document in Photo shop by File –> New –> OK. Document size is up to you. I choose 325×350.

Create Layer-1 and paste any cube image. Name this layer as dragon.

Create Layer-2 and paste an image for cube surface. Here I used flying dragon. Name this layer as dragon.

Lock dragon layer. Divide the cube into three sides. First select one side by using pen.

Now select the dragon layer and unlock it. Press ctrl+x. Paste it in the cube layer in same place. Transform it to fix it on the cube by Edit –> Transform –> Distort. Likewise do for other two sides.

Finally apply Layer Blending options by Layer –> Layer Style. It is important to give Fill opacity to 50% in Advance blending option. Other option are up to you.

See the cube which is covered by dragon image.
