A New Resolution To Quit Smoking
Jack, at a New Year’s party, turns to his friend, Tom, and asks for a cigarette.
‘I thought you made a New Year’s resolution to quit smoking,’ Tom responds.
‘I’m in the process of giving up,’ replies Jack with a smile. ‘Right now, I am in the middle of phase one.’
‘Phase one?’ wonders Tom.
‘Yeah,’ laughs Jack, ‘I’ve quit buying.’

Ada Pradhaman is a tasty sweet dish prepared with flakes of cooked rice, coconut milk and jagerry.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ada
- 4 green cardamoms
- 1 tblsp sugar (cheeni)
- 1/4 cup pure ghee
- 12 cashewnuts
- 2 tblsp sultanas
- 1 1/2 cups coconut (scraped)
- 1 cup palm jaggery (gud)
How to make ada pradhaman:
It is usually made in a big Uruli as it also adds up taste to the dish.
- Heat 2 tablespoons ghee and fry the ada lightly.
- Grind the cardamoms with the sugar to a fine powder, sieve and keep aside. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and fry the cashewnuts and kishmish till light brown.
- Soak the coconut in 1 cup warm water, grind and extract thick milk. Repeat the process and make a second extract and keep aside. Crush the jaggery to fine powder and keep aside.
- Boil ada in 1 cup water and the second extract of coconut milk. The ada should remain soft but hold its shape.
- Add the jaggery and continue cooking till it thickens. Heat the remaining ghee and add to the pradhaman.
- Mix in the first extract of coconut milk, the fried dry fruits. Stir well and heat thoroughly.
- Sprinkle the cardamom powder and serve at room temperature.

Do you believe in spirits? Some of you may say no and while few others may get frightened on hearing the very word…. If you are a brave person well continue reading as it may seem to be like story for you and if you are not better don’t probably your fear may increase on reading this as I am sharing the experience of few my friends who played ouija board .Hope you all know that an Ouija Board is a that is theoretically used to communicate with spirit and the spirits would guide the medium’s hand and spell out messages for the sitters who were present.
Who wont be anxious to know about their future? So were they.They went and sat in a dark room with the design of the board being drawn on the floor and a candle.Once when they started they didn’t find any spirits coming and so they thought it was a fake.But after few minutes there came a strong wind blowing.As the hostel was situated in an isolated area the sound of the cool breeze was heard clearly..They all started getting frightened at the same time thrilled too.And then they raised a question “Good Spirit have you come?“.To their surprise it moved to yes…….
They were shocked for few seconds,they had nothing to say…Then they started questioning the spirit.They asked for its name,the cause for its death,its age at the time of death.They were more shocked when they heard everything from the spirit because it was the spirit of a girl’s mother who was one among the players.
She was stunned,she had no words to express. She started crying and at the same time she was happy for having her mom with her…They continued interacting…
Finally it was getting late the time was about 1:45 a.m .It was time for them to bid good bye,her friends told the spirit that it is getting late and they asked her to leave.But, the reply from spirit was no….
For about fifteen minutes they were struggling, Finally they asked the girl to do something…
The girl couldn’t control her self….From her childhood she was not lucky to have her mom with her and now she’s being forced by her friends by send her mother…..
Finally she with a heavy heart said “Ma… If you love me please do go back…. “
And it moved to “Good Bye!!!“
